An elegant’ timepiece with a thin mechanical caliber. Caliber 9S63 is a significant addition to the ever growing Grand Seiko family of movements. It's a slimmer mechanical package, and it offers a small seconds register at the nine o'clock position and a power reserve indicator at three.’ The thinness of the movement allows for a slimmer, dressier case design.’ The case on SBGK007, rendered in’ stainless steel, is polished by a special Zaratsu method created to accentuate the beauty of the curved surfaces. The dial and the sapphire crystal are also curved to give the watch a classic look. Additionally,’ the dial features’ hand-bent minute and power reserve hands,’ a detail that nods to classic watch design.’
