More About Michael

The Underwood Jewelers team is proud to have Michael continue to guide the brand while serving in this new role. His impressive career in the jewelry industry began in high school when he worked at Harper’s Jewelry while taking gemology classes at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). After high school, he honed his skills at T. K. Dodrill Jewelers and pursued a business management degree at Marshall University. Joining Underwood’s in 1990 as a store manager, Michael quickly distinguished himself, earning the title of Certified Gemologist in 1991. His relentless dedication and expertise facilitated his rise through the ranks, culminating in his roles as vice president in 2008 and chief operating officer in 2018.

Passing on the Torch

Our former president, Clayton Bromberg, expressed his endorsement of Michael as he takes on his new role at Underwood Jewelers, commending him for his increasing role in operations and executive leadership in the past few years. “It has been a natural progression to name him as president officially. I am very proud of the leader he has become and look forward to seeing the company continue to thrive under his direction,” said Bromberg. As Michael takes on his new role as president, Clayton will remain active in the business in his capacity as chairman.
